USE & CARE
Good selection needs
a workable method.
Read the instructions supplied with your model and introduce the tool through a task-specific assessment.
OPERATING BOUNDARIES
The lifting system carries the load.
A guidance pole must not be used to lift, suspend, prop, pry or arrest a load.
Keep clear of the load’s travel path and closing gaps. Do not rely on the tool to stop uncontrolled movement. Maintain stable footing and review how the head disengages before starting.
No electrical insulation rating is implied by a fibreglass shaft. Confirm an applicable complete-assembly rating before considering any electrical exposure.
BEFORE EVERY USE
Inspect the complete assembly.
- Check the head for cracks, deformation, wear and loose connections.
- Inspect the shaft for cracking, splitting, crushing or exposed fibres.
- Check the handle, mid-grip and guard for damage or looseness.
- Confirm the tool is identifiable and suitable for the intended task.
- Remove damaged or suspect tools from service for review.
AFTER THE TASK
Clean, store and review.
Clean using a method compatible with the supplied materials. Store where the pole will not be crushed, driven over or exposed to damaging conditions. Follow the model instructions for cleaning, environmental limits and replacement.
Review any slipping, awkward posture or difficulty releasing the head. It may indicate that the geometry or method needs to change.
